Delete your data
Mind the Guitar does not run user accounts on our servers. Your profile, progress, statistics, settings, and avatar are stored only on your device. Because there is no server-side account, there is nothing for us to delete remotely — you fully control deletion from inside the app and from your device.
Option A — Reset only your statistics
Use this if you want to keep your display name, avatar and preferences, but clear your exercise statistics and streaks.
-
Open the app
Launch Mind the Guitar on your device.
-
Go to Profile
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
-
Reset Profile → Reset Statistics
Tap Reset Profile, then choose Reset Statistics and confirm. Your exercise statistics and streaks are cleared from the device.
Option B — Reset your entire profile
Use this to remove your display name, avatar, learning progress, statistics, streaks and all preferences from the app while keeping the app installed.
-
Open the app
Launch Mind the Guitar on your device.
-
Go to Profile
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
-
Reset Profile → Reset Entire Profile
Tap Reset Profile, then choose Reset Entire Profile and confirm. The app returns to its initial state.
Option C — Remove everything (recommended for full deletion)
This is the most thorough option and is what we recommend if you want every trace of your Mind the Guitar data removed from your device, including any items kept in the operating-system secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
-
Reset Entire Profile in the app
Open Profile → Reset Profile → Reset Entire Profile and confirm (see Option B above).
-
Uninstall the app
iOS: Long-press the Mind the Guitar icon → Remove App → Delete App.
Android: Long-press the Mind the Guitar icon → Uninstall (or open Settings → Apps → Mind the Guitar → Uninstall). -
Done
All locally stored Mind the Guitar data is removed from your device, including profile data, learning progress, preferences and any items in the platform-provided secure storage.
What about freeRASP security telemetry?
To protect the app against tampering, debugging and execution on rooted or jailbroken devices, Mind the Guitar uses freeRASP by Talsec. freeRASP may send anonymous integrity signals (e.g. detection of root/jailbreak, debugger, emulator) to Talsec servers. These signals are not linked to your identity and do not include your profile data, audio, photos, advertising identifiers or any content you create in the app.
Because freeRASP telemetry is anonymous and not tied to a user account, there is no per-user record on Talsec's side that could be deleted at your request. For more details see our Privacy Notice — Section 9, or contact us using the email below.
What we do not have
- No server-side account for you.
- No copy of your display name, avatar, learning progress or statistics on our servers.
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID), no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels.
- No audio recordings — microphone input for the tuner is processed locally only.
